You can easily create your own Christmas invitations if you are holding a party this Christmas. It's great fun to make your own and you are sure to impress your family and friends. I have also included sample christmas party invitation wording.
Making your own invitations needn't be tricky. You just need good quality card, festive paper, vellum paper and a variety of embellishments.
First decide on your format. Whether you are going to use landscape, portrait or a postcard size invitation. This will of course determine the size of the envelope required. You can either buy large sheets of paper and create the cards yourself or buy blank cards. Using blank cards will inevitably save you time.
Now it's time to think about the graphics for the front of the invitation. You could use Christmas stencils, Christmas clip art, stamps or a computer graphics package. You could be creative and paint each card individually, or just use Christmas scrapbooking embellishments. Or make a photo invitation and add a picture of yourself or family to the front.
A very easy invitation idea would be to buy sheets of festive paper and cut this to the shape of your card. Then print the wording, using your computer, onto clear vellum paper. Firmly stick the festive paper to the front of the card and then overlay the printed vellum paper. This creates a stunning effect for your Christmas party invitation.
Above all, remember to plan early as making your own invitations takes time. Start as early as October or November and create your invitations at leisure.
